Fundraising Consultant, bid writer & Founder of Finding Starfish

Jenna Wills BSc MinstF


Since starting her fundraising career in 2005, Jenna has held senior roles in a variety of local, regional, national and international charities.


With 15 years’ experience spanning all income streams, Jenna is a passionate and dedicated fundraiser with a reputation for achieving excellent results. She has a track record of securing substantial funding from trusts, foundations and government tenders and specialises in trust fundraising and writing winning bids.


During her most recent role as Head of Fundraising and Marketing at Disability Resource Centre, Jenna worked with her team to double income to over £1,000,000. In addition to her role at Finding Starfish, Jenna is also an Associate Consultant for Wootton George Consulting. 


Having set up regional fundraising for Oxfam in the Midlands from scratch, Jenna also specialises in developing strategies for growth and has extensive experience of community fundraising and managing mass participation events, including the London Marathon with Action for Children. 


Jenna first came across the Starfish Story in an art gallery, at the very beginning of her career. She promptly bought eight prints -  (for all her fundraising colleagues!) - and a print still remains in pride of place in Jenna’s office today.

Sarah Barber (BA)


Sarah is an enthusiastic and passionate fundraiser and marketer. Starting her career in 2011, her experience pans all fundraising disciplines with a specialism in trust fundraising. 


Sarah has an excellent track record in securing high value funding from trusts, foundations and government tenders. With her Community Fundraising background, Sarah is a natural relationship builder, and has an eye for detail. As well as her success rate in securing new and repeat funders, one of her recent tender bids received one of the highest points total the contractor had ever seen. 


Sarah is also highly experienced in Community Fundraising strategy and management, Volunteer Policy, and a wide range of marketing functions, including social media, paid Facebook advertising, website development and Google Ads management. Above all, Sarah is passionate about helping great causes and reaching and exceeding targets.
